Exact Imaging has an experienced management team that has together and individually successfully launched multiple companies and products into global markets, developed global teams and commercial infrastructures, and achieved multiple liquidity events including IPOs (Visible Genetics) and acquisitions (Biomedical Instrumentation Inc., DICOMIT, Quinton Electrophysiology, VisualSonics, VisEn Medical, Visible Genetics).

Randy AuCoin is a seasoned clinical executive with broad experience in all aspects of medical device operations. He started his career developing software in a medical device start-up and quickly realized his love for early stage companies and medical devices. Randy’s career is reflective of his passion for growing early stage medical device companies and spans a broad range of operational and managerial roles. Prior to Exact Imaging, he was a key executive in three other early stage ventures, helping to grow the companies’ valuation resulting in four liquidity events including one company which was sold twice based on the fundamental technology which Randy helped to develop and commercialize.

Randy is President and CEO of Exact Imaging, responsible for the company’s strategic direction, key operations and overseeing the development and global commercialization of its ExactVu™ micro-ultrasound platform. He joined Imagistx (now Exact Imaging) in 2011 as COO. In 2013 he became President and CEO, successfully restructuring the company into a Canadian entity, driving the Company’s strategy and fundraising, and building the Company’s management and operational teams. He also architected and led the company’s multi-site clinical trial. Randy has also successfully raised over $43 million in financing.

Prior to Exact Imaging from 2003 – 2011, Randy was Vice President, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at VisualSonics (sold in 2010 to Sonosite (SONO: NASDAQ)) and was responsible for the development and execution of all quality assurance and control efforts as well as directing all regulatory affairs and clinical programs. He directed VisualSonics’ achievement of ISO 9001 quality certification within its first 2 years of operation. He also led all clinical investigations including the original efforts into successfully validating the Imagistx’s opportunity leveraging the VisualSonics technology for prostate imaging. He also contributed to the quality system that successfully delivered over 1,500 VisualSonics high resolution-ultrasound systems with an extremely high-level of quality and customer satisfaction.

From 2000 to 2003, Randy was Manager of Engineering, QA & RA at Dicomit DICOM Information Technologies (acquired by Cedara software). From 1998 to 2000, Randy was a Y2K consultant with Ontario Hydro. Previously, from 1990 to 1998, Randy worked in cardiology as a principal engineer with Biomedical Instrumentation Inc. (acquired by American Home Products and re-branded as Quinton Electrophysiology Corporation). Quinton Electrophysiology was eventually acquired by Pruka Engineering.

Frank is a results-oriented professional with more than 20 years of international experience in medical device and healthcare services including field sales representation, sales and marketing management, business development, strategic planning, operational transformation and senior business management. Frank is Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Exact Imaging and is responsible for the global sales and marketing of Exact Imaging products and services and the general management of commercial operations globally.

For 16 years starting in 2000, Frank held a variety of progressively senior executive and managerial roles at Intuitive Surgical, a $ 2.4 billion global leader in robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery. Most recently, he was Director, Indirect Markets, leading the EMEIA distribution region and achieving total revenue of $120,000,000 in 21 countries. Previously, Frank held a variety of executive commercial positions at Intuitive including International Sales Director and Director, Direct and Indirect Markets in a variety of international markets. Prior to Intuitive, Frank held sales positions at Autosuture (Medtronic) and Yamanouchi Pharma (Astellas). Across his career, Frank has received a multitude of sales and management achievement awards.

Frank has his Masters in Physical Education, HILO and his Masters in Motorical Revalidation and Physiotherapy, MOREKI from the University Gent in Belgium. He is an avid skier, hockey and soccer player and is actively involved in leadership positions in a variety of local sports and community organizations.

Bill Andreopoulos is a seasoned finance executive with 20 years of broad financial management and accounting experience. Bill is CFO of Exact Imaging, responsible for overseeing the company’s financial functions, including accounting, financial and strategic planning, business support, treasury, tax and managing the company's relationships and interactions with the investment community.

Prior to Exact Imaging, from 2014 – 2018, Bill was at Novadaq Technologies (sold in 2017 to Stryker [NYSE: SYK]), a rapidly growing medical technology company, serving most recently as Vice President, Finance. Bill was responsible for financial reporting, planning, treasury and taxation. During his tenure at Novadaq, Bill was instrumental in building out the finance business support capabilities and function to support the company’s global sales expansion.

From 2012 - 2014, Bill was Corporate Controller at Vitran Corporation (sold in 2014 to TransForce [TSX: TFII]) and from 2005 - 2012, he held a series of progressive financial management positions at Shaw Media (formerly Canwest Broadcasting and Alliance Atlantis).

Bill began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Assurance and Business Advisory practice, where he obtained his Chartered Accountant designation. Bill holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University.

Ian Fine
Vice President, Engineering
Exact Imaging

Ian Fine is a seasoned engineering executive with 30+ years of engineering and management experience, much in the medical device and device software fields. Ian is VP, Engineering at Exact Imaging, responsible for developing and executing all the company’s technology development efforts. This includes responsibility for all technical application development and product realization of the 29 MHz platform. Ian is also responsible for executing the on-going technical product roadmap including all forward-looking technical developments.

Ian brings deep leadership capabilities to Exact Imaging. Most recently, Ian was Chief Technology Officer at Fio leading development (in Canada and India), regulatory, quality, production, and service teams for Fio’s mobile diagnostic and cloud information services. His previous experience includes leading the customer-facing advanced cell phone technology division of AMD (a division subsequently acquired by Qualcomm), where his clients included Samsung, LG, Motorola, and Nokia. His group designed and implemented software essential to 150 million phones during his tenure. Ian also led core technology and PACS development as well as Custom Engineering at times over a six-year period at Cedara Software, which designed and produced middleware and applications for imaging devices such as MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, PET, digital x-ray, ultrasound, PACS/HIS, and image guided surgery. Over two dozen companies, including Cerner, Elekta, GE, Hitachi, McKesson, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, and Zeiss, were Ian’s customers. Prior, he led the development team of the world’s first digital cardiac electrophysiology device.

Ian is a Professional Engineer and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Queen’s University in Kingston.
