Manager, ROW Distributors

Exact Imaging has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Rest of World (ROW) Distributors to help make an impact. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Sales & European Operations (VP), the Manager, ROW Distributors is responsible for overseeing all Exact Imaging Distributors in the regions designated and achieving sales objectives by executing strategies for markets defined by or in collaboration with the VP.    Implementing appropriate tactics in order to achieve the sales targets will be an integral part of the position.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Key responsibility is for generating sales activities (prospecting) and successfully reaching sales target in the designated region
  • Responsible for execution of strategic and tactical sales plans defined by the
    Vice President, Global Sales together with the SVP, Marketing
  • Contribute to the planning and coordination for national and local conferences
  • Contribute to business plans including budgets, forecasts and sales activities
  • Management activities
  • Build strong customer relationships and brand equity by helping researchers be more productive and derive more insightful results through the use of Exact Imaging’s technologies
  • Spearhead Company’s vision toward a customer-focused, sales-driven organization
  • Feed product development including providing user feedback on specific application and system issues, market insights, and competitive analysis
  • Advance new market opportunities and establish a solid user base and levels of penetration in the designated territory
  • Achieve regional revenue forecasts and targets
  • Support the regional Distributors sales force to advance sales cycle and close sales
  • Clear reporting on sales progress, opportunities, and obstacles, along with strong say in reporting formats
  • Realistically understand the product’s or service’s strengths and weaknesses (with Marketing), and how to distill and communicate the key selling arguments
  • Have access to a range of value-added offerings, that can be negotiated instead of price
  • Contribute to the long-term strategic business plan, the corporate vision and the development and implementation of the 1- and 3-year business plans
  • Develop, maintain, and advance customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure information from customers about product acceptance or rejection are fed back to the company (Marketing and Engineering)
  • Minimize the cost of sale
  • Maximize profitability
  • Understand pricing requirements, both top-line full market price, and bottom-line lowest-price position, discount terms, etc.
  • Contribute to and know what the customer will see in the marketplace, or be told through ads, trade shows, events, or other mechanisms, so they can capitalize on the knowledge, or be prepared for praise or problems (with marketing
  • Assure a fluent training program and QA completion
  • Develop centers of excellence and Reference centers
  • Motivate installed accounts to collect data and publish
  • Senior Management has the right to assign other responsibilities

What you’ll need:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Medical or Life Sciences
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive management experience in the sale of capital medical equipment at the most senior levels
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with International distribution management
  • Proven track record of ongoing sales successes and achievements
  • Experience in Urology an asset
  • Understanding of imaging technology, preferably ultrasound, and its unique requirements
  • Proficiency in using general office productivity software (Microsoft Office, etc.) for communication and documentation purposes
  • Experience working with ISO 9001/13485 quality standard desirable
  • Excellent ability to successfully sell capital equipment
  • Excellent ability to self-motivate and work closely with a remote head office
  • Compelling presentation skills
  • Multiple languages an asset
  • Ability and interest in travelling approximately 70% of working time
  • Management and leadership skills
  • Balanced, flexible, but determined
  • Strong computer skills including customer contact/reporting systems etc.
  • Sense of urgency, self-motivated, flexible
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs/ 10 Kg
