Inside Sales Representative, NA

Exact Imaging has an exciting opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative, North America (NA) to help make an impact. Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Inside Sales Representative, NA provides a direct linkage between Marketing and Sales in the generation, qualification and advancement of leads, generation of targeted marketing campaigns to increase awareness and performing administrative activities.  This Inside Sales Representative, NA shall assist the National Sales Director in the achievement of his sales targets by building the sales funnel, supporting local North American sales prospecting, including the management of local events and facilitating other aspects of the sales process as needed.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Become knowledgeable in Exact Imaging products and applications
  • Expand knowledge of new applications and markets as they develop
  • Follow up on marketing and sales generated leads within a specified timeframe
  • Advance sales opportunities to the point of hand-off to the Sales Manager
  • Follow up with customers at determined/appropriate times for discussion on literature received, new publications pertaining to their research, etc.
  • With input from the Marketing Department, execute targeted phone and email marketing campaigns to generate demand for Exact Imaging’s products
  • Target local customers for marketing campaigns utilizing the Salesforce.com database and other sources of information
  • Utilize and maintain contact and opportunity information in the Salesforce.com database
  • Develop new accounts
  • Conduct account-specific research independently and as directed by the National Sales Director, including reading research sites for applicability to our technology 
  • Initiate prospecting calls to determine interest and updating Salesforce.com as appropriate
  • Engage Clinical Applications personnel to answer technical questions that arise from customer contact
  • Set-up customer appointments for Sales Managers 
  • Work effectively towards accomplishing specific quarterly objectives as defined in the Quarterly Compensation Plan
  • Provide administrative support for symposiums and demonstrations including  provide support for demonstrations with tracking/logistics for shipments (coordinate/track with head office), soliciting attendees for symposiums and coordinating logistics for symposiums/events
  • Send follow-up correspondence after demo/symposia soliciting feedback/next steps
  • Attend field events as deemed necessary by the National Sales Director
  • Become knowledgeable in sales qualification techniques and Strategic Selling
  • Provide reporting and analysis of current sales opportunities being worked as required
  • Cover other Inside Sales Representative territories in the event of vacation or open territories
  • Provide consistent support for each sales territory supported

Marketing support:

  • Assist with marketing promotions and activities
  • Execute targeted phone and email marketing campaigns to generate demand for products and services; target local customers for marketing campaigns utilizing the Salesforce.com database and other sources of information
  • Identify research contacts for lead generation; gathering lists of new “targets”; research of prospective contacts on the internet and develop “Prospecting Lists”
  • Prepare initial draft for landing pages and email campaigns and draft invitations for seminars and symposia
  • Organize roadshows/workshops with sales managers and Marketing
  • Attend field events as deemed necessary to support Sales and Marketing
  • Contribute to the planning and coordination for national and local conferences
  • Work closely with Marketing for European tradeshow organization and other events to secure timely registration, shipping of booth and literature
  • Assemble and fulfill literature requests, including personalized mailings, marketing literature and courier packages
  • Utilize and maintain contact and opportunity information in the Salesforce.com database
  • Other activities as assigned by management

What you’ll need:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma
  • Degree in Biological Sciences strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software
  • Experience with outreach/lead generation through social medial (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and/or biology is preferred
  • Proficiency in using general office productivity software (Microsoft Office, etc.) for communication and documentation purposes
  • Experience working with ISO 9001/13485 quality standard desirable
  • Ability to travel internationally approximately 40% of working time as required including overnight and some weekend travel
  • Valid Passport with no restrictions
  • Valid and clean Driver’s license
