Exact Imaging has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Applications Specialist, North America (Ultrasound)(East, Central and West) to help make an impact. Under the general direction of the Manager, Global Clinical Applications with dotted line reporting to the Vice President, Global Sales & European Operations, he Clinical Applications Specialist, North America (CAS) role is to train, activate and provide continued applications support for products of Exact Imaging Inc.  The CAS will provide support in the areas of customer education, training and activation including ongoing monitoring and support.  In addition the CAS may be responsible for sales demonstrations and future clinical applications development. The CAS may resolve customer satisfaction issues as assigned and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. The CAS will also work with engineering to test and provide feedback on new product developments, as well as interacting with marketing to develop marketing materials as required.


  • Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound program
  • Certification in RDMS, in good standing
  • A minimum of 3 years progressive clinical ultrasound experience either for a medical equipment manufacturer or in a clinical ultrasound facility

What you’ll be doing:

Customer Training and Activation

  • Provide pre-installation and post-installation clinical application support of high-resolution clinical ultrasound equipment
  • Develop and provide training for our customers on the use of newly acquired equipment
  • Develop and provide training for new sales staff

Customer Support and Monitoring

  • The CAS will be responsible for continuous and ongoing customer support and monitoring of the customers technical and performance needs, including both technique and image analysis monitoring with corrective action as required

Pre Sales Demonstrations

  • The CAS may be required to provide pre-Sales demonstrations of ExactVu™ ultrasound equipment and related clinical applications for prospective customers
  • Travel to and participate in trade shows, conferences and workshops as subject matter expert on high-resolution clinical ultrasound imaging techniques and applications.
  • Interaction with Sales Managers to manage customer expectations and facilitate the sale of systems


  • Ability to travel approximately 70% - 80% of working time as required
  • Some weekend travel

Product Enhancement / Development Responsibilities

  • Collect and provide user feedback for product development initiatives to enhance future products
  • Assist in evaluating new products/software where applicable 
  • Assist marketing with image atlas, website and brochure development as required

Application and Product Development

  • Work with and maintain strong ties to luminary or partner labs
  • Collaborate with our partner labs to develop new products/ software using the ExactVu™ system


  • Other duties as assigned by Management

What you’ll need:

  • RDMS Certification/Graduate from accredited Ultrasound program
  • A minimum of 3 years progressive clinical ultrasound experience either for a medical equipment manufacturer or in a clinical ultrasound facility
  • Experience in medical software and knowledge in imaging applications is required
  • Proficiency in using general office productivity software (Microsoft Office, etc.) for communication and documentation purposes
  • Experience working with ISO 9001/13485 quality standard desirable
  • Ability to think in a business manner, focused on sales
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to execute training curriculum and professionally deal with a diverse set of problematic circumstances that surround difficult, demanding customer situations in a friendly and constructive manner
  • Desire to gain professional growth and exposure to medical device industry
  • Ability to travel approximately 70% - 80% of working time as require including overnight travel. Some weekend and international travel may be required
  • Multiple languages an asset
